Please Don’t Study All Night Long! Teaching Academic and Life Lessons to Boarding Students Studying Remotely: Lessons for Post-Covid Times
Faced with a fully operational day school but closed dormitories, The Masters School created a “remote academy” to serve our students in distant time zones. Creating a “school within a school” taught us lessons about academic learning, community development, and the importance of teaching the implicit lessons of boarding life even when dorms are closed. This panel assesses lessons learned from this experience applicable to the in person boarding school experience.
