C-9 Mission Impossible Made Possible: Launching a Rebrand and Historic Campaign in a Global Pandemic

Launching a historic campaign at an independent school is challenging. Launching a historic campaign while debuting a complete rebrand at an independent school is extremely challenging. Executing all the above amid a global pandemic? Many would deem that to be impossible. But the team at The Frederick Gunn School, previously known as The Gunnery, managed to pull off the impossible and is steadily climbing towards their fundraising goal. The decision to rebrand and launch a campaign at the height of COVID-19 was not easy, but it was one rooted in the results of an in-depth feasibility study, where donors were asked to “dream big,‚Äù and bolstered by the colossal success of a previous campaign. In this session, you will hear Sean Brown, the Chief Development Officer at FGS, unpack the strategic thinking behind the decision to launch, the tactical process that went into conducting the early solicitations and an update on how the school’s historic campaign has been progressing.
