Honoring Place: Why Connecting Students to Place Matters
This two-person panel explores how place can drive innovation in our schools. Drawing from work at Mercersburg Academy, Santa Fe Prep, and the Thacher School, this session introduces how place-based, interdisciplinary curricula connects students with the people, the environment, and the history of the places where we are, allowing kids to interact with the communities our schools serve–or could better serve. This session will include time for discussion and generating ideas.
