Changing the Tires While the Car’s Moving: the Department Head and Constant Curricular Review
Our students and, indeed, society demand boarding school academic departments regularly and frequently ask whether what and how we’re teaching addresses the evolving objectives of our schools. That we are also involved in other aspects of boarding school life makes leading constant change more challenging. Drawing from a 2021 survey of over 200 independent school colleagues, participants will discuss strategies for meeting this challenge that can be applied immediately to the leadership of their departments.
